Bits and Pieces.

Thursday is my night to work late, so here I sit, at my computer, at my desk, catching up. I thought I'd share some little pieces of info that are neither stimulating nor important. Just some behind the scenes stuff-a-roo.

First, Shannon and I will be at the Yamaha dealer in Hood River this Saturday from 12-2pm. Not because we want to be or because we have an intense interest in Yamaha motorcycles (Shan might) but because we're getting paid. That's right. Workin for the man down at Yamaha. We'll be at the Mid Columbia Marine and Motorsports located at 3335 West Cascade Ave Hood River if you feel so inclined to hang out with us and spin the swag wheel. It's gonna be lovely out so come on down.

Second, my cohort/parttime/heterosexual platonic lifemate has returned safely from his travels to the Middle East: Bahrain, Dubai and Sri Lanka for three weeks. Odd places for vacation, you might think, but one might never appreciate the rich quality of life we enjoy here in the states without visiting a third world country.

Glad your back, Joe. Now get your ass to work.

Third, Iris is very sick with some sort of coughy, chesty virus but will hopefully return on Monday. I spoke to her on the phone briefly and she sounded like a old man, wheezing and choking and coughing her poor lungs out. Get better, I, we miss ya.

Fourth, Shannon and Mr. Burns enjoyed some quality contract talks this week and Shannon appeared to come out of his office unscathed. Good news all around. His voice will continue on our airwaves from 2-7pm at least for the near future. (I actually have no idea what was discussed aside from contracts, but Shan said it went well.)

Fifth, I can't seem to figure out the dealio with the Boston concert supposedly coming to the Amphitheater at Clark County some time this summer. I've asked around and gotten stonewalled. (So much for being an "Insider!") Our concert calendar lists a date of Tuesday, July 8th but no one can confirm.

I'm not sure what the heck is going on. If you happen to know, please pass it on-correct verifed info only please- so I can post it and appear smart and newsy: alinford@entercom.com.

Sixth, LK and I shared a bottle of fantastic champagne at lunch on Monday (unless you are Mr Burns or Smarta- we shared it on Sunday). "Are you celebrating," our server asked. "Why yes," we both relied, "celebrating the fact that we're JUST NOT GONNA TAKE IT ANYMORE!" we shouted.  We clinked glasses and enjoyed.

Lastly, the countdown to Coachella is on. 15 days to go.....
